Concert venues I have been at in the District of Columbia
Georgetown University:
Gaston Hall (Nanci Griffith/James McMurtrey)
McDonough Arena (Fountains of Wayne)
GWU
Lisner Auditorium (too many to mention or remember)
Smith Center (the Smiths, George Thoroughgood and the Destroyers, Echo and the Bunnymen)
MCI/Verizon Center (Paul McCartney, Prince)
RFK Stadium (the Grateful Dead, the Rolling Stones, U2)
the Bayou (many)
the Wax Museum (Skip Castro Band)
Some club off of 18th St that I think changed its name to the Roxy (the Waitresses, the Casuals featuring Johnny Sportcoat)
DAR Constitution Hall (many, including Squeeze and REM on back to back nights)
Warner Theater (many)
Citadel Center (in Adams Morgan) (Crowded House)
the Old 930 club (at 930 F St) ( Beat Rodeo, the Beat Farmers with Mojo Nixon opening, John Hiatt, probably others)
the current 930 club (John Hiatt, Mary Chapin Carpenter, the Slickee Boys)
the building that houses the current 930 club before it moved there (I forget what it was called then). I saw the Proclaimers there.
the Black Cat (Wanda Jackson)
Considering that I have lived in the area for 23 years, its not that big of a list. Mostly I see acts that I've already heard. At my age, with kids, and as a non-drinker, I don't get to explore lots of new acts and venues. These are venues actually within the District.

You forgot the Ram's Head Tavern. Surely you also went to the Cap Center before they tore it down.
The Saba Club is (i believe) the name of the club that was the Roxy, at 18th & Conn (now it's "5"....? or was a couple of years ago.... just a dance club... sad there's no more live bands there, though it was hell loading gear up those stairs!).....
Saba, that's it! Thanks I never would have remembered that.
