Slate by Uncle Tupelo
Uncle Tupelo was an influential "alt-country" band during the early '90s. They had 2 distinctive singer/songwriters who evidently ended up hating each other, Jay Farrar and Jeff Tweedy. Farrar formed Son Volt while Tweedy has achieved some notoriety with his band Wilco. This is a really good song from a really good album Anodyne.
