My man crushes

My 2 major "man crushes" from the sports world are Cal Ripken Jr. and of course "Agent 0" Gilbert Arenas, pictured at the right.
Cal was inducted into the Hall of Fame today and naturally accepted the award in a completely graceful and touching manner. I teared up when he teared up thanking his wife. It was very cute as he was giving his speech when he held up a white flower and said to his son in the audience, "Ryan I'll need help transporting this to Mom". He then put the flower into his inside blazer pocket. His son then reached into HIS inside blazer pocket and pulled out an identical white flower which he handed to Kelly Ripken. A sweet moment. Maybe its all fake. But I admire the way that Cal has handled everything over the past 15 years with grace. That's the only word I can think of for it. He seems to be doing well in retirement trying to teach young kids and spark their interest and enthusiasm for baseball. Here's a quote from his speech:
"Games were and are important but people and how you impact them are most important," Ripken said. "We are the ambassadors of the future. Just as a baseball player wants to leave his mark on the game and make it a little better then he found it. We should all leave this world a better place for the next generation."

Just a talented and graceful guy. I'd like to handle things in the same fashion that he seems to.
